Why we wander ’bout

A little less scrolling. A lot more living.

Friends sharing a sunny day together on a sailboat

Somewhere between one more email and one more hour of scrolling, it's easy to forget how good it feels to actually go somewhere.

That's why we started Wander 'Bout. We're Chrissy and Jeff. We go looking for the places, people, and odd little discoveries that make a day worth remembering. Sometimes we have a plan. Sometimes we take a wrong turn, catch nothing, or end up somewhere better than where we meant to go. We make films and tell those stories here in the hope that one of them nudges you out the door.

You don't need a faraway trip or a perfect itinerary. Take the long way home. Walk down a street you've never noticed. Get on the water. Ask someone a question. Look up, get a little sunlight, and see what happens. We can't tell you what you'll find. That's the fun part.

We'll show you what we find. We'd love to see what you find, too.

Field Notes are how this becomes bigger than our own adventures. Send us a place, a person, a surprising find, or the story of a day that didn't go as planned. We share selected notes so someone else can follow your curiosity and start a wander of their own. That's what it means to be a Scout: pay attention, go find out, and bring back a story.

Maybe you'll make a new friend. Maybe you'll come home with a better idea, a better mood, or just a story that makes people laugh. Either way, you'll have spent some time living it. Let's go wander 'bout.
