Go and notice
Follow your curiosity close to home or far away. Look for the detail you would tell a friend about.
Go somewhere. Notice something. Send back a story.
Wander ’Bout Scouts get out into the world, follow their curiosity, and send back Field Notes about places and discoveries worth sharing.
You do not need special experience, a huge adventure, or a polished story. You just need to notice something—and tell us what made it worth remembering.
Anyone can create an account to comment or shop. Scout status is earned by sending a Field Note or a useful update, addition, or correction to an existing one. Comments alone do not earn Scout status.
A Field Note is a story, observation, or useful discovery brought back from somewhere you have been. A quiet launch spot. The person who taught you something. A roadside meal worth stopping for. Something you noticed when you slowed down and looked around.
These notes help the next person get out into the world with a little more curiosity and a little more local knowledge. Wander ’Bout includes discoveries from our own travels and from Scouts like you. Every contribution adds another perspective.
A few honest sentences are enough to start. Tell us where you were, what happened, and why it stayed with you. Add your own photos or video if you have them; words are welcome on their own.

Our editors review submissions before publication. Selected notes may appear in Field Notes or Scout Reports, credited to you.
